Bio

Jaleesa Vincent is personality plus, a unique soul who grew up on the Sunshine Coast she is one of a small handful of female free surfers that doesn’t have to compete to stay relevant. Neither of her parents surf, and the young Jaleesa picked it up from her older brother, just by watching him. This creative chick is full of surprises, always with a new hairdo, releasing surreal surf clips and has a side hobby of skeleton articulation - she likes to keep people guessing. Having recently shaped her very first board, she learnt a lot and has a newfound respect for shapers, saying “I didn’t even know what a concave was, board shaping is such an art, and I would love to do it again.”

Jaleesa is definitely a doer, happy free surfing and working on projects, surf edits, art, music which all influence and feed off each other and keep her motivated. She loves to learn new skills and is happiest when she’s feeling inspired. Part of the RAGE gang, Jaleesa’s surfing is always being pushed to new levels by the boys, who always encourage her to take off on the bigger waves and pull into barrels. She’s our colourful character, in the water and out and we wouldn’t have it any other way. A pioneer of the women’s free surf movement, she walks to the beat of her own drum.
